Terms of Use

By using BladeBuddy, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

BladeBuddy provides informational estimates about skate blade condition, wear, and sharpening based on photos and data you provide. All analysis results are estimates, not measurements or guarantees. Blade condition assessments, steel life estimates, hollow recommendations, and forecasts are starting points — always confirm equipment condition with a qualified professional. We are not responsible for equipment damage, injury, or performance outcomes resulting from reliance on the App's outputs. Skating is an inherently risky activity; equipment decisions are yours.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use the App. Skater profiles you create for others (e.g., your children) are equipment records under your control, and you are responsible for the information you enter in them.

You agree to: (a) photograph equipment only — no people — in scans; (b) not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or bulk-extract the App's data, catalogs, or analysis service; (c) not use the App to harass shops or individuals via ratings/notes; (d) not misuse, overload, or interfere with our services.

You retain ownership of photos and notes you create. You grant us a license to process them to operate the App and, where you have opted in, to retain and use blade photos to improve our analysis technology, and to include your usage data in aggregated, anonymized statistics as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sharpener listings you add to the shared map are public to other skaters. You agree not to submit content that is offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening, harassing, deceptive, or that contains personal information about anyone. There is no tolerance for objectionable content.

We screen submissions automatically before they publish and remove reported content. Any skater can report a listing or block the person who submitted it, which hides everything that submitter has added. Reports of objectionable content are acted on within 24 hours, and we may remove content and bar the submitter from contributing without notice.

To report content or a user directly, email info@nopermissionlabs.com with the shop name and location.

Sharpener locations and details are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or out of date — verify before visiting. Your private ratings and notes are your own opinions; you are responsible for them.

Premium features may be offered via auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. Pricing is shown before purchase; subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and are managed through your App Store account. Refunds are handled by Apple per their policies.

The App, its design, catalogs, analysis technology, and content are owned by No Permission Labs, LLC and protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the App; they transfer no ownership.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ACCURACY OF RESULTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; where prohibited, they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

You can stop using the App anytime; use "Delete my data" in Settings to remove server-side data. We may suspend access for violations of these Terms.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be presented in the App for renewed acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of NY, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
