How does the quiz pick a hollow?+
Your weight sets the starting point, because heavier skaters press the edge into the ice harder. Then what you want more of, how hard your ice is and your experience each move it one step deeper or shallower. Goalies and figure skaters use their own ranges.
Is this the same quiz as the BladeBuddy app?+
Yes. The website uses the same questions and the same rules as the setup quiz in the iPhone app, so you get the same recommendation in both places.
Why don't figure skaters get profile questions?+
Figure blades come with their rocker shaped at the factory, so hollow is the setup choice that's yours to make. The quiz skips the questions that don't apply.
Is the recommendation a rule?+
No. There's no single right setup. Treat it as a starting point to bring to your pro shop. Feel and your sharpener's advice matter most.
Does it cost anything or need an account?+
No. The quiz is free, needs no sign-up and your answers stay in your browser.
